Yellow Lady's Slippers

The Lady's Slippers along the driveway are in bloom.  I believe there are four blooms.  You cannot get real close because of the Poison Ivy!

The sun was very bright at noon when I took the photos with my cell phone.   I was running errands...checking on/playing with dogs, getting the mail, taking the garbage out and checking on she who sees robins first (knee surgery).   I picked a good time to be out and about as it rained quite hard later in the afternoon.

  2. The yellows are pretty! I haven't seen any this year, yours are tucked away safely in that poison ivy. :)

  5. Beautiful lady slippers. I'm SO allergic to poison ivy. When I was a kid I had to get weekly shots. If I was in a 1 mile radius of a plant I would get it through the air. No kidding. It was awful. It sounds as if you had a great time running errands, even getting to play with dogs. Not much better than that.
    Blessings and hugs,

  8. What beauties. I’ve never actually seen one in person way up here on the Redwood Coast (California). Have a nice day. It’s overcast here with a few showers tomorrow.
