I really like the newest crochet pattern I am working on.
I am making progress:) It will have many more rows around! There are you tube videos to help you along if you get stuck.
The transition from round to square was fairly easy. One of the later rows had a stitch that I had not done in years...I watched video after video...finally I just went to my comfy spot on the couch, relaxed and low and behold the old muscle memory did the trick....fyi it is a back post double crochet....it is alternated with the front post double crochet...I knew exactly how to do that stitch! Yeah me.I finally made menus for two weeks it has taken me about a month to figure out what we have on hand that is still good:)
Whats cooking? BLT...I like my T on the side...we baked some bread so it was especially good.
Minnesota weather: High on Monday 64F or 18C Low was 46 or 8C. It is supposed to rain on Tuesday and we really need rain.
Far Side
Your pattern is gorgeous. I love the colors and hooray for you for knowing exactly how the stitch should go!
ReplyDeleteBLT's are a favorite around here. I had to go through our freezer last week and give a lot of the meat to my girls. Sam can not eat meat (his liver will not digest meats very well) and I did not want the meat to ruin. This pattern is so pretty...I know it's easy for you since you are such a talented crochet-er...but it sure looks complicated. Beautiful for sure!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful blanket. Back post dc's are not my favorite but they make a nice pattern. And the yarn colors are lovely too.
ReplyDeleteBLT is my favorite of just about all foods. Whenever we go to a diner type place where they're on the menu, I order one. So, so good. But I like my t on the sandwich!
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Wow - that design is really pretty. BLTs are something we definitely like here too, although for my husband the T is toast. He wouldn't touch a tomato for anything. I bought 1 big heirloom tomato at the store last week and used it in the first BLT of the season. I should get back to making a menu for us to work through.
ReplyDeleteConnie, the blanket colors and pattern are just gorgeous!! You have made good progress and should be proud.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of sandwich bread did you make? I assume made by hand. I have wanted to try making sandwich bread! SO much healthier then store bought, and not hard.
Rhodes frozen bread dough:) Although I sometimes make bread from scratch it takes lots of energy that I just do not have at the moment!
DeleteFrozen dough counts and no doubt tastes better than ready made sandwich bread. I'll look for Rhodes. I can't seem to get sandwich bread made from scratch either.
DeleteSo thankful God has given you some relaxing yet productive days! Your yarn project is very, very beautiful. You are smart and persevere in anything you tackle. So thankful you had success with remembering and executing the stitches you needed.
ReplyDeleteA big HOORAY for two weeks of menu planning. That part is often more difficult than the cooking for me.
That is so pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo many different stitches in that pattern! It looks very complicated, but also very interesting, and beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThose colors are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful crocheted square.
ReplyDeleteI have bacon and also tomatoes but the only lettuce I have is leaf lettuce from the garden. Somehow it seems that a BLT calls for crisp Iceberg. Oh well, leaf will have to do.
ReplyDeleteThe crochet is lovely. It looks so difficult to do.
Wow, that pattern is really pretty!
