Weekend Finish

I finished the two dish towels my Mom left for me to do. I started on some of my own stamped designs that have been languishing in my embroidery box for a while.

Nice to have some completed projects.

We had a quiet day, in the afternoon we watched Flipped it was a good movie.   Toward evening the Great Grandchildren were here to liven up the place! Andy made loaded nachos for supper.

  3. The dish towels turned out so pretty. I used to do embroidery and counted cross-stitch. It was always relaxing to me. RHill, TX

  6. I used to do a little embroidery. Now my hands are just not supple enough for fine hand work. I'm glad the you can still do it.

  8. Very pretty! I still have some embroidered dish towels from my bridal shower 49 years ago. I admit that I've hoarded them, and would only pull out a couple and actually use them until they were threadbare before pulling out a couple more. My grandmothers both embroidered dishtowels and pillowcases for me. And I've even bought a some new ones at craft shows over the years.

  9. LD,,,,The finished pieces are so bright in colors and looks great. I have old ones that are faded and your white cloth is so fresh. The contrasts are so great against the cloth.

  11. You did a great job with those tea towels. I love embroidering them but no one seems to use them much anymore. I'm sorry I haven't comment this weekend. I didn't even have the computer on until tonight after the SuperBowl. Go Hawks! Needless to say, our Washington friends are very happy tonight. We didn't watch it but I am happy for them all.
    Blessings and hugs,
