Winter Storm for Wednesday and Thursday
Description
...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 6 PM THIS EVENING TO MIDNIGHT CST WEDNESDAY NIGHT... * WHAT...Heavy mixed precipitation and areas of blowing snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 10 inches with locally higher amounts. Ice accumulations of a glaze. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph. * WHERE...Portions of north central and northwest Minnesota and northeast North Dakota. * WHEN...From 6 PM this evening to midnight CST Wednesday Night. * IMPACTS...Travel will be very difficult. Falling and blowing snow will lead to areas of quick and sudden reductions to visibility, making travel difficult, especially in rural areas that are prone to blowing snow. The hazardous conditions will impact the Wednesday morning and evening commutes.
We had breakfast for supper last night too. The wind is howling this morning, and did all night long. But the snow stayed north of us. It's possible we'll get some snow tomorrow but hoping it isn't enough to keep us from going to watch region girls wrestling tomorrow evening.
ReplyDeleteWe're under a fire watch advisory today. I can't recall the last time we've been under one but it has been a good many years.
ReplyDeleteI have some threads as well! I pulled out my floss to experiment with embroidery which will be incorporated into a quilt by the end of the year. Embroidery has never really been my thing. Good for you - show us the dish towels sometime! Good luck for Far Guy. I'm so glad he has a sense of humor again. It's hard to live with a grumpy guy! (Ask me how I know!)
ReplyDeleteGreat news about FG regarding the treadmill and humor! Hopefully he will hear about the biopsy soon and can proceed forward. If he does have to have another surgery, generally the thyroid doesn't need chemo or radiation? Just Levothyroxine pills afterwards to replace the hormone. Time will tell. Enjoy today and face tomorrow when it gets here. About the snow - - praying you keep power and don't have to go outside at all. Poor Sadie - - guess that is difficult for her. We had a friend who had a small dog. They planted a box of grass that it could use in a covered area - - but again - - it was a very small dog.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all set for the storm. We have had more snow down here than we usually get and we still have the rest of February and March to go.
ReplyDelete5,000 steps a day is amazing! Good for Far Guy!
ReplyDeleteGood news for Far Guy! I hope the testing on the nodules come back benign on both.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter said the storm arrived at home last night and is expected to continue until evening today before it moves on. Lots and lots of snow.
Stay warm and dry!
Good work, both of you.
ReplyDeleteWe await the storm. We shall see.
Stay inside!! Off the roads!!! That's always my mantra!!!
ReplyDeleteI am so proud of FG...5000 steps is awesome...I need to do this myself. I am also happy to read that he is feeling better and adding some humor to his days. Praying for you all through the storm..
ReplyDeletePretty good news for FG. Praying for more ups and less downs.
ReplyDeleteThe towels will be art works!
My wife would say that looks like fun. She's working on a quilt at the moment. Glad Far Guy is better.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased to read Far Guy is doing well,
ReplyDeleteHumor is very good for your health!
ReplyDeleteHopefully the biopsy comes back normal!
Yay for better humor :-D. Have you tried kumihimo weaving/braiding? Something else you might enjoy.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast supper is one of my favorites.
ReplyDeleteI glad FG s doing so well.
A storm is a brewing your way - we may have a little snow here tomorrow but just a bit. Far Guy is doing very well...prayers the other nodule to also be benign. ✨🙏✨
ReplyDeleteWe've just had the very stormy nasty weather. Now we get the very cold weather. Minus 31 C tomorrow night.
ReplyDeleteLove breakfast for supper. I would love to make more tea towels but it's difficult when no one seems to use them much anymore. So glad to hear Far Guy is doing so much better. Good for him in getting on the treadmill for those steps. That's better than what I've been doing.
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to get about 3 inches of snow tomorrow but I hope not. We'll see. It's sure going to get a LOT colder than it has been with single digits. It's been in the 60's and 70's for the last week or so. My arthritis is killing me today so I know things are changing. We're still hoping to go camping next week if it warms up again.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
You sure do a lot of needle craft! I bet the towels will be well appreciated.
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy is doing better and hope the new test shows nothing problematic.
