I finally finished the cards I use at Christmas for the Grands and Greats. We gave up Christmas shopping a long time ago...all the kids like cash...no problems no returns!
I have plenty now for the next couple of years! BE prepared! It was a hard day on Saturday...we had a low pressure system that moved on in that made my RA go crazy. I did what my Primary Care Doctor has suggested...have a THC Gummy and have a nap. I felt much better after a nap...a little high but much better!
Supper was Jen's scrambled eggs, Far Guy's fried potatoes and fruit.
Minnesota weather: High 19F or -7C Low was 17F or -8C eh! Snowy and windy.
Far Side
Good morning. Our weather is supposed to start warming a little. We have heaps of snow higher than the cars in all the parking lots. Still lots on the yards, too.
ReplyDeleteGood for you!
ReplyDeleteYou made some great choices in the selections you chose for these cards. so pretty! My kids prefer the cash as well and I'm good with that. Sadly, the weather and the pressures from it can really cause our bodies to ache. I see my rheumatologist next week. I dread it!! For one...he is always late! Not just 15 to 20 min late..more like 40 min late. And then, I just don't want to change meds, but I feel it coming. Glad you got your nap and hopefully you nap under a heated blanket.. the evening meal sounds delicious..
ReplyDeletePretty cards! I'm glad you got some relief from the pain and a good nap.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad those gummies work for you and you get some relief.
I have tried some gummies and I don't care for the way I feel. They make me a bit dizzy and unsteady. However, I met up with some friends in Las Vegas several years ago. We tried marijuana potato chips. There is something inherently wrong having a pot infused chip, knowing from the Lays ads that it's hard to eat just 'one', yet having a suggested 'dosage' of "1" chip! We were all silly for a few hours after that.
ReplyDeleteThat's rotten weather. Don't send it here.
ReplyDeleteI give cash too. No one complains.
ReplyDeleteDr. Eric Topol, out of Stanford, writes a lot about the immune system. Here is information about a new treatment that has recently been approved for RA. It might be worth looking into it. https://erictopol.substack.com/p/vagus-nerve-stimulation-and-the-immune
ReplyDeleteToday is February 1st....St. Brigid's Day. Spring is on the way. THC isn't legal in Indiana (yet), unfortunately. I've heard it helps with arthritis and I surely could use some assistance! Egads. But our governor said that until there is a sure fire way to test for THC consumption during a traffic stop, then it will not be legal in Indiana. I can see his point, for sure. People driving crazy while on their cell phones or after drinking alcohol is quite enough. *sigh* Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour cards are lovely. We do the same. Cash.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you found a way to cope with the effects of the low pressure system. Whatever helps!!!
ReplyDeleteI hope all of your kids and grands keep those cards for the memories. You make such beautiful cards. I'm looking at my birthday card right now! We had 43F today. I wasn't out in it at all as I"m still coughing like crazy. I don't know when I've ever missed church for 3 weeks in a row before. I'm afraid since covid to go out when I'm coughing. People get very upset because they don't realize that I'm no longer contagious. Although I love being home, even I'm ready to go somewhere for awhile.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Those cards are just beautiful! So glad you take a nap when you need to. Hope it continues to help a bit with your pain.
ReplyDeleteYou do make nice cards and a nap usually helps
