I finished another blanket.
It is a very pretty turquoise/aqua color. I believe I know who this one will be gifted to.
Far Guy had his weekly infusion on Friday afternoon. I ran errands to Walmart and Aldi, then we went out for lunch. I returned to clean a bathroom, do some laundry and take care of a few things on my list that swirl around in my head...just as the wind swirls the snow around...then I had a nap!
I need to BEgin another blanket. The weather is perfect for starting projects...we are in a Winter Storm Watch and a Blizzard Warning. The wind is really howling outside.
Minnesota Weather; High 9F or -13C low was -5F or -21C eh! Snowy and blowing.
Since we went out to lunch supper became quite easy. Chili, cheese and crackers. No Cooking just warming up!
My Photo Album project is coming along, the Grand's photo albums are caught up with for now...I still need to order their 2025 photos for their albums. I sorted to decades when I pulled the photos from the albums and marked them by year, now I have sorted the years....1972-2023. Next comes the year sorted into months...then I can put them all in albums. There is a method to my madness.
Far Side

We finally got a little bit of snow on the backside of the storm. Perhaps a half inch is now visible in my security cameras. I'll have to wait until sunrise to verify. Likely though, I will be starting a fire later this morning and spending the day readings and napping in front of it. My kind of cold winter weekend day!
ReplyDeleteHow many of us sit and do nothing about our photos. Good on you for getting things done with your photos.
ReplyDeletePretty color! Great time of year to cuddle under the warmth of blankets.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to keep busy when the weather isn't good, and blanket making is perfect for that.
ReplyDeleteThat is a lovely blanket. We are still getting the wind today. It howled all night too. I'm hoping that the roads will be OK as we leave for Brookings in about a half hour for the big SDSU vs NDSU game today.
ReplyDeleteYou make me want to get busy on my piles of photos!
ReplyDeleteYou had a productive day. It's very, very cold here. Similar temperatures to you. I'm guessing we'll get pizza tonight for dinner. We usually do that once a week, either on Friday or Sat. nights. Last night our condo association had a potluck at the clubhouse. It was really nice and a good time to get to know our neighbors better. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Sorry, but you made me NOT want to get at our photos! Every room in our house needs to be cleared and downsized but I close my eyes because it is such a big job! I do have a few trash bags out to fill as I walk by ! Very slow process!
ReplyDeleteProductive days feel good
ReplyDeleteOh you are in a cold snap! Good weather for doing projects- or just cuddling up on the couch with that pretty blanket!
ReplyDeleteThe blanket is soft and perfect.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad you are making progress with your photo project. It’s an enormous undertaking.
The nasty weather that you're having appears to be extended right up into Manitoba ( according to my sisters). Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, that photo project seems onerous! Obviously it is a labour of love for you.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the next blanket.
That Arctic front started down here the past couple days, and will be roaring closer this weekend. It has been bitterly cold with snow squalls.. nothing much. Our sinter is just getting started it seems. Kinda late, but that's Kansas. I don't like the cold, so I'm not out Nd about much anyway. // I love that blanket! It looks warm and snuggly. Great job! // I'm sooo behind working on family scrapbooks because of the past year (and then my surgery in December). My energy level has to return before I get back to those things. //Have an awesome day, my friend!! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteI have a blanket/afghan I work on when the weather turns bitter. They are great winter projects aren't they?
ReplyDeleteLD....Projects keep our blood flowing.
