Sorting through the years.
February 1990 my Aunt Marie and I took the train from Detroit Lakes Minnesota to Seattle Washington for my cousins Clark’s wedding to Mary Jo.
We had a great time! The dogs are two of ours Captain and G’Day Mate. They were two years old.We had a quiet day sorting photos and watching a movie, we decided not to cook and went over to Arby’s drive through. The influenza A is going around so the less we encounter people the better.
Far Side

I’d love to travel by train I think. The pictures are a memory walk for you too.
ReplyDeleteYou are wise to avoid this flu.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful memories!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure the flu I had in December was Influenza A. Although I recovered quite quickly it was the worst I've felt in a very long time.
It really brings lots of laughs and enjoyment going through old photos. I need to do this very same thing, but just have not found the energy to do so. Flu A is really spreading around here as well. I've been trying really hard to stay away from crowds of people. Sam certainly does not need anything added to his health issues right now. Y'all stay safe
ReplyDeleteI bet that trip was so much fun!!! Great memories!!
ReplyDeleteStay away from that nasty flu!!! The vaccine may lessen but I was down forever.
Lots of flu in Ohio, too. Your choice of Arby's was smart. Naturally. I have a son and Grandson who have taken trips on Amtrak. They are ultimate train lovers. When my son was in London, England and he brought his son over for a visit you can guess what they did...yes...they went train watching.
ReplyDeleteBy all means stay in and away from any flu. There's lots of it in the area and our hospitals are full.
ReplyDeleteFor several years I traveled by train form school in Seattle to Portland to get home on college breaks . It was a pleasant way to travel.
ReplyDeleteWe have several events where we'll be around large groups of people and I'm starting to get nervous. Mandy tells me the flu is bad here too. Yikes!
ReplyDeleteLoved seeing your photos and you two have had the cutest dogs.
Blessings,
Betsy
I just thought of it that 1990 was 36 years ago! Wow. I have never traveled by train and I rather wish I had.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun memories and pictures for you. I can remember a few train trips that we took and enjoyed very much. Thank goodness for the memories. Take good care.
ReplyDeleteLD...Our Arby's is at the northern end of our town so we don't go there unless we got to the bank or the doctors. Our kids in Chicago all had the fle already.
