My cousin Dion died on November 9th 2025. He was a bachelor and is survived by his siblings. He was the first born to my Uncle Butch and Aunt Kay in 1962. I remember when he was born.
The Celebration of Life was this past week. I sent a card as it was impossible for us to go. He was a very quiet unassuming Christian man.

For the family history; Dion was my Mom's nephew. There were 42 of us cousins counting me (I am the oldest). Sadly four have died...Linda in 2020, Dean in 2021, Diane in 2024 and now Dion in 2025. So 38 remain.
Far Side
For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better. But if I live. I can do more fruitful work for Christ. So I really don't know which is better. I'm torn between two desires: I long to go and be with Christ, which would be far better for me. Philippians 1: 21-23

My condolences, Connie.
ReplyDeletecondolences....i had 13 cousins at one time now only 4...
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Connie for your family's loss. Reality really hits when you see cousins younger than you passing away. I've loss several younger cousins and it is so sad. Wishing you all a good day of warmth.
ReplyDeleteEternal rest, grant unto Dion, O Lord. Let perpetual light shine upon him and may he rest in peace. Amen.
ReplyDeleteMy sympathies on the passing of your cousin Dion. He was far too young.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences to you.
ReplyDeleteI love the verse. I take it to heart. Sorry about Dion for those who mourn him. Galla Creek

ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for your loss, Connie. He was too young.
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry for the loss of your cousin Dion.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences Connie! I'm one of 16 cousins on each side and have lost 2 cousins on each side so far. I'm the oldest on my mom's side and the 2 we've lost were much younger than me. Guess we've reached that stage in our lives - more funerals than other happier celebrations.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear of Dion's passing.
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on the loss of your cousin. As we get older we lose family members and it doesn't get easier. I have a DIL who has not one uncle or aunt ( so no cousins either. On either side of her family). It boggles my mind. I have not counted how many 1st and 2nd cousins I have but there are many.
ReplyDeleteLD...I am sorry for your loss. It is hard to see them go and we just can fix anything in regard to it. My brother-in-law's funeral in Thursday.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry Connie! It is always difficult!
ReplyDeleteSorry for your loss, but it sounds like he's safely in the arms of Jesus now. Linda, imagesisee.blogspot.com
