Grand Crew

Grandkids Savannah, Paige and Cole came over yesterday to get us all caught up with scrubbing and vacuuming and some dusting.  Cole washed the house on the outside and did a whole bunch of outside projects.   We are mostly ready for Winter now!  It feels real good to have things caught up with!

Cole, Paige, Far Guy and Savannah

What a good bunch of kids/helpers.  We are blessed to have them in our lives.

In order for our warranty on the finish of our home to be valid you have to wash the house once a year.

Proof that the house was washed on October 12, 2025.

It was a busy day.  The Grands make us smile:)

I think our 42 year old house has been washed maybe two times?

  18. Cole took on a hard chore. I washed a tiny section to get rid of green. Not easy at all. But I do love driving up and not seeing that nasty green on that section. FG looks great in the picture!

  20. Great that you have the grands to help you with such projects. The grands I live near are still 7.5 and under, so no help from them, besides I live in an apartment, so really there's no help needed. Good pic of you 3 grands and hubby. Treasure those photos! Linda imagesisee.blogspot.com

  21. I am envious of your family being so close. Our kids want us to move to CA permanently, but we love our country life and location. Maybe when we get really old we will think differently. I've never heard that a house should be washed - I know in the humid south we can get mildew on some parts of the house....but where you live?

    1. They blame the Pine pollen and say it eats at the finish on the log siding.

  24. LD...I only got one side of my house power washed this summer. I didn't have the energy or will to do the whole thing. Family help doesn't exist and I guess I could have hired it to be done.
