The deer have no fear and are coming through the yard daily.
Can you see the white tail? It is just above the angels head.
Our days are quiet. I do my PT and then tackle a few projects that vary from day to day. Nothing too exciting. Far Guy has been trying to woodcarve in the afternoon before his nap. He still struggles with the side effects of the cancer medications. His weight is holding for the moment.
Last night for supper we had some potatoes, leftover pork roast and raspberries. I had a salad...Far Guy did not as any kind of lettuce tears up his stomach.
Minnesota weather: High 79F or 27C Low 56F or 14C eh!
Far Side
The deer were unaware that an angel was near. It was above 100 again here yesterday and 77 now. It’s 5 AM here. I’ll walk at day’s light to escape the heat. I think the end of our heat wave is near. hope FG will see the end of his “cure” soon too.
ReplyDeleteWe have around a half dozen that traipse through the yard behind our house twice a day despite a neighbor who shoots a half dozen or so a year from behind his house. They are nearly as plentiful as ants down here.
ReplyDeleteFar Guy and I are about the same. I'm having a bout with something again. I'm on a liquid diet, I've lost 15 lbs. and I am so tired I can hardly get anything done. I just want to sleep and I'm yawning all the time. Doc put me on an antibiotic, then I was throwing up but the nausea went away. Hopefully, I will get some energy.
ReplyDeleteWe finally got rain last night! It's been a month I think. More rain to come today. Hang in there Far Guy!
How cool is that?!?! If you have gotten the weather we got the last few days, there is nothing cool at all. Ugh!
ReplyDeleteHope we are on the way to a better outcome. Fingers crossed.
ReplyDeleteWe've had deer in the pasture in front of the house with regularity every morning. The mules are indifferent to them it seems whereas they used to chase them.
ReplyDeleteI think the browsing is easier now in the mowed area compared to the weedy and brushy forest around us.
I hope the side effects for FG really start to subside.
I have deer coming into my yard now. There isn't anything they really like to snake on but still they come. I really don't mind.
ReplyDeleteI did see that white fluffy tail. We have been seeing a lot of deer lately...guess they are on the. move. All of your blue in the window is so very pretty!! Your dinner so delicious including the raspberries.. Praying for you and FG
ReplyDeleteI love quiet, ordinary days. Fortunately most of ours are that way around here. I'm so glad Far Guy's weight is holding. That's probably the biggest hurdle during cancer treatment, isn't it. Still praying. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteWe've noticed lately that the deer, especially one fawn, have been coming through WITH the turkeys. They even hang out together under the trees in the yard. So strange.
ReplyDeleteCheeky deer!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear Far Guy can't have certain foods. I'm sure it must be frustrating (as well as painful) for him.
The deer here have been surprisingly unfrightened lately too. They come close.
ReplyDeleteWe have deer in the yard often. I love seeing the fawns. It's good FG can do some woodcarving.
ReplyDeleteYou are having a fantastic run of perfect temperatures.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the "blue" window. We have only seen a few mama/fawn pairs here lately. Not as many as there was a couple of years ago.
ReplyDeleteHope you are all feeling better as time goes on.
So surprising that lettuce would be so hard on his stomach - I am so sorry!
