Saturday

The smoke from Canada made it to Minnesota, we stayed indoors all day.

We had several naps through out the day.

For supper I made baked potatoes and steak for me and salmon for Far Guy... there is enough leftover for lunch.  Far Guy doesn't have much of an appetite.

I crocheted for a bit, and did some laundry.

My brothers came over and mowed the lawn on two mowers so it went fast. My baby brother put out some ant traps for me outside.  She who sees robins first put some flavored water in the fridge and refilled the box that is on a shelf that I can reach.  We had a nice visit with them all!

  1. It was weird looking yesterday here with smoke that looked like day-fog. I could smell it and kept the house closed up and the air cleaner going.
The stars this morning looked brown as did the moon.

We had steak, corn on the cob, and spinach salads last night.

    Hope FG feels better soon.

  2. Family is coming to your aid, Connie, and that's so wonderful to hear. Oh, that smoke! Ugh! You are smart to stay inside, if you ask me. Still praying. Love, Andrea xoxo

  4. We are close to Canada but not close to any fires. We have enough of our own around here, we don't need any imported smoke. I hope it clears up for you soon!

  9. We're under an air quality advisory as well, they just keep extending it. With the breeze this morning it wasn't too bad out there. I hope it clears up for you soon.
Good for your brothers being so helpful.

  10. It's so nice that you have relatives close by who will lend a hand. I drink Boost high protein nutritional drink. That might be good for Far Guy since he doesn't have much of an appetite.

  12. Ugh - smoke from fires is terrible. It makes the sky look so creepy, and irritates breathing passages and eyes. So glad you have some help, so sad that you need their help. Hope both of you bounce back a bit each day.

  14. So nice to have help like that. I'm sorry Far Guy doesn't have much of an appitite, and that the smoke has reached you. It's getting to us today and tomorrow. And I'm really sad about the buildings near the Grand Canyon where another fire is causing all sorts of damage. I hope you guys are OK during the smoke.
