The Japanese Tree Lilac is blooming at the house next door it is a beauty!
I wonder if mine is blooming at home. Some years it blooms and some years it does not.
I had a busy day Friday entertaining Baby K who her Mom calls Bean, and showing Maddie how to make potato salad.
Far Guy did some woodcarving. This years Christmas Ornament has been decided.

Yum - homemade potato salad! Bet it was tasty!!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you might be increasing your activity a little bit, Connie. You must be feeling a bit better? I'm so glad. ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteI think I will make potato salad since you mentioned it. The tree is a beauty.
ReplyDeleteAwesome on the decision for the Christmas ornament. Looking forward to seeing it. Everyone needs to know how to make potato salad and it's good that Maddie was interested...
ReplyDeletePotato salad sounds good. I haven't made any for a long time.

Christmas in June! Lots of work/fun ahead for the both of you. How fun to pass down family recipes to Maddie. There is nothing better than time with family we love.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and love,
Betsy
Beautiful lilac!
ReplyDeleteDoes the Japanese Lilac smell like a regular lilac when it blooms?
ReplyDeleteNot exactly like old fashioned lilacs but still a sweet smell.
DeletePotato salad sounds good. How fun to have a baby around. I have a white lilac that seeded in among my Rose of Sharon. It's been raining here so much I haven't g one out to see if it's blooming....maybe not.
ReplyDeleteYou already have the ornament decided? You guys don't let any grass grow under your feet even when you aren't feeling good. Still praying for you all. Enjoy the good days.
Sounds like a good way to spend a day. The lilacs are blooming here in Nova Scotia too...though I'm not sure I'd know the difference between a Japanese and a regular lilac.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a good day, a better day.
ReplyDeleteSounds like it was a nice Friday for you. and far guy did some wood carving....good for him.
ReplyDeleteGosh. You guys are still super busy. I haven’t. Thought Christmas yet
ReplyDeleteOh my - you guys are on the ball for the ornament! Of course now the wood needs acquired, the carving needs to start, painting supplies need purchased. It is amazing how fast time goes by.
ReplyDeleteThe tree is beautiful but not as lovely as Miss Bean!
