Next door neighbor Steve made us a bird feeder.
He came over and sawed off the top of a dead Oak and the stump makes a perfect spot for a bird feeder!
Now if the squirrels and the bear leave it alone! Thanks Steve!
Minnesota Weather on Monday: High 60F or 16C Low 45F or 8C. It was cloudy, smoky and spit rain a bit.
Monday Far Guy made Impossible Italian Sausage Pie for supper. I gathered ingredients for him and did the dishes. We both had two naps...morning and afternoon.
Hope you are all having a wonderful day!
Far Side
Is that impossible Italian sausage pie like the cheeseburger pie that used to be on the back of the Bisquick box? I used to make that for my boys when they were young and they loved it. I haven't thought about it in years. I'll have to get some Bisquick and try it again. Maybe with Italian sausage this time around. Thanks for the suggestion.
ReplyDeleteYes same recipe.
DeleteNice! We still have a bird feeder that needs installed. Hopefully this year.
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will be a good addition to all the other stuff the critters like.
ReplyDeleteAll wildlife see food as fair game. It's not reasonable to dedicate some food for some "folks" & not the other. I absolutely love that birdfeeder & what a kind gesture from your neighbor. If I had something like that, it would be dismantled literally overnight. My raccoons, possums, opossums, & lord knows what else, have removed...destroyed... knocked over...every single type of feeder you can imagine. So I just spread the seed in various places on the ground every morning & evening. The animals are happy & I am too. *haha* ~Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteYum. I need a cook. Period.
ReplyDeleteBe well.
Such a good neighbor and this is a very nice bird feeder....the little birds are gonna love it..
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are bad enough. Bears add a completely different element to bird feeder security I'm sure!
ReplyDeleteVery nice bird feeder. I suspect the regular thieves will find a way in, but hopefully the birds get their share.
ReplyDeleteThat is a cool birdhouse! Even personalized! Steve sounds like a great neighbor to have.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Steve created a great design with the added touch of the lettering! We have birds that have nested on a porch and need to move those families to the yard next summer.
ReplyDeleteLunch menu for us has not formulated in my mind yet. It is wonderful your husband knows how to cook. You have a great schedule - - - listen to the body and do what it needs - - whether eating or sleeping. It works because you have other days that you stay busy and awake until evening.
Nice! I just put out my oriole feeder. He's been flying through the yard all week so hopefully he'll stop for a spell
ReplyDeleteThat’s beautiful bird feeder - looks like a Feeder Store. Good neighbors are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet neighbor you have! Yes--hope the bears leave it alone especially. They could destroy all his fine work. The squirrels will just empty the feeder--lol!
ReplyDeleteGlad you two are doing okay and taking it easy. :)
Watching birds at your feeder can be so interesting!
ReplyDeleteYour sausage pie sounds delicious!!! And what a great bird feeder. Steve is a very nice neighbor!
ReplyDeleteAs you know I think those Impossible pies are a great idea! So is that bird feeder. I hope those squirrels are not planning how to raid it though. Nor any bears.
ReplyDeleteItalian sausage pie sounds delicious. Is that a Finnish dish?
ReplyDeleteReally nice bird feeder. Can Steve come to my house? ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh, I hope the bear and squirrels don’t spoil the feeding. What a great neighbor you have.
ReplyDeleteI need a bird feeder----well, not really I feed the squirrels and the birds on top of a old oil barrel!!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice neighbor! Plus, he installed it! It is snazzy!
