Was about ten and climbed up on the high platform above and behind the high school bleachers where they made the announcements. But they used a ladder to climb up there and I had climbed up the legs from the top bleacher. I had decided to test myself--push through the fear. Which I was forced to do a couple hours later when I had to be home for dinner...shaking and trembling all the way. I remember being so exhausted that I was in bed long before "Here's Johnny". ;)

When I just saw the pictures of the old block I noticed how different things looked, too. Houses were different colors, the trees are way bigger, and there's a curb! When we moved there it was a naked new suburb--no lawns, no trees--kind of like Dagan and Leah's when they moved to their house recently. Where did the last 60 years go? :)Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02043285884495492598noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-10696781317036395972016-08-29T12:46:05.212-05:002016-08-29T12:46:05.212-05:00pretty neat that you can take a look at the home p...pretty neat that you can take a look at the home place anytime you want.Redhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17996243850279671523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-48125386329098566772016-08-29T09:11:59.854-05:002016-08-29T09:11:59.854-05:00Today's children are so driven with ipads and ...Today's children are so driven with ipads and iphones they will never have the adventures we have had....ever.

LindaTerry and Lindahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11016496778254072639noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-51593653831516055042016-08-29T09:05:26.275-05:002016-08-29T09:05:26.275-05:00Hmm, I doubt I would climb the tower - then or now...Hmm, I doubt I would climb the tower - then or now.
