We used to have a place called 'the Y" too but it wasn't a steak house more like a drive in and it was where Illinois route 84 joined Route 20 (Ulysses Grant Highway). Not sure what's there now. They used to have a huge giant statue of a palm tree that would flash lights. Fried potatoes...yum! 1994 was not a good year for me either.Sam I Am......https://www.blogger.com/profile/17358633233189452832noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-65299263763816283962015-09-03T01:05:50.365-05:002015-09-03T01:05:50.365-05:00Birthday dinners out always were a treat around ou...Birthday dinners out always were a treat around our house. He also died in 1994, at the age of 76. That was part of a season of four funerals and a wedding. My father and my uncle both died of cancer, my sister-in-law died of breast cancer at age 38, and our friends young daughter was murdered. The wedding was my daughter's first marriage. The marriage lasted three months. Those were not good time for us either.
