The little canal that was installed between the kiddies (the Footbridge) side and the main swimming (Highway 71) side with the rafts etc. was a good idea but it never worked. The Footbridge channel pressure/water flow made the canal just a deadzone which eventually became plugged with a green sludge/moss and was eventually removed. I remember always having swimmer’s itch/water poisoning after swimming at the Beach House site but I did not get it when I swam in the main channel in front of our place. The closing may have been liability or health considerations. I was told the bridge is painted that color so rust is not as visible down the road.Gravyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09285807229419992129noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-30978171180941960372015-03-29T10:33:37.151-05:002015-03-29T10:33:37.151-05:00Why on earth are they allowing the new bridge to r...Why on earth are they allowing the new bridge to rust - Aargh!Tired Teacherhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17285635623675889289noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5456722259350114571.post-29546565146627479442015-03-29T10:31:28.436-05:002015-03-29T10:31:28.436-05:00Artsy fartsy can be fun, but I like the old stuff,...Artsy fartsy can be fun, but I like the old stuff, too.
