Friday’s Birds

I love this time of year, different birds visit our yard.  A Hummingbird flew in and back out again, I have a little feeder out for them.  He/she did not come back.

We sat outside after supper and watched birds.

Yellow Rumped warbler or a Butter Butt

A Butter Butt or Yellow Rumped Warbler. I believe this is a male.

Friday I had a very relaxing afternoon.  I went up North to visit a long time friend  (since 1975) for the afternoon. It was fun catching up!  I came home just in time to help with supper and to reassure Chance that I had not abandoned him forever.

It froze again on Friday morning it was 29 F or 1 C eh!  It warmed up to 58 F or 14 C eh!

I love the early mornings here when I walk the dogs and hear all kinds of bird songs. I wish I knew the birds here.

Hope none of your flowers got frozen. We love to sit in our sunroom and watch the birds at the feeders, too. You got some nice photos of yours.

I heard a robin and a chickadee this morning at 4:45. They woke me up and I lay there and listened to the early morning sounds. It's so nice. Your high temperatures are very similar to ours, but we stay much warmer at night. :-)

The lone hummingbird was probably a scout and took note of the feeder you've got in your yard.

I knew that there was a difference in yellow rumped warblers as far as location is concerned. I did know it was such a big difference.

Lovely shots of your feathered visitors.

Barney is getting to be very concerned when one of his pack is gone. He starts barking when he can hear the truck coming down the hill. I have never heard of the one bird at the bottom picture.
