If it isn’t one thing

it is another.  After a certain age your body falls apart.

I knew I had an abscess…but I was not prepared to be told that I have two abscesses and will require extensive oral surgery.  YUCK.

It has been a week of appointments…I am waiting not so patiently for them to call with my appointment for surgery.  I finished a course of antibiotics but still have a big area of infection…if it gets worse I am supposed to call for a new prescription.  It was quite painful…keep you awake painful but for now it has settled down.

Far Guy said a Dairy Queen would make it all better and would also be lunch.

We went to our favorite sundae eating spot in town.

spot on the river

We park here to watch the bike riders or the runners…their trail is covered with snow now.  Sometimes we see ducks here…not so much that day. (There is a river out there.)

snow melt

The road home still shows our snow, little by little it is melting.

I managed to spring clean the downstairs bathroom….feels good to have one more room done.  My bum hand is tired now and needs a day maybe two of rest.

I watched a movie called August Rush  I give it four out of five stars.  I was awake for most of it.

OHHHH no! I know the pain you must feel. When I had my tooth issue a few weeks ago I could not believe that after 40 yrs I had a tooth problem!
I am crossing my fingers that all goes well for you.
We got 11" of snow yesterday.
Beautiful and odd!

Hope the infection clears up soon, and the oral surgery goes well.

Sorry to hear about you being in pain. That is a real bummer. Between the weekend and yesterday we got about 6 inches of new snow. Looks like the middle of January instead of April around here. The poor birds are going crazy trying to find food.

I just saw the dentist yesterday and was reminded that my teeth are getting old, along with the rest of me. But fortunately no problems like yours. And you're right: if it's not one thing, it's another. Wishing you a pain free mouth to come sooner rather than later.

Oh my gosh, do I ever feel your pain. I have had my share of abscessed teeth...since waaaay back. Be glad when you've had the surgery and it's over with. That mess is so painful. Far Guy sure knows the best way to take your mind of the pain...Dairy Queen! My favorite place for ice cream. A large blizzard should do it.

Goodness! I don't know how you do all that cleaning while feeling poorly. And your poor hand...darn it. Here is hoping you can get well soon!

OMG! There is nothing worse than dental pain in my book! You poor sweetie. I'd rather go through labor and that's saying a lot. I hope everything works out okay and you are ready to go play when Spring arrives. I will say prayers for you. It gives me the shivers just thinking about it! I always thought I would love to live back in the 1800's except for the dental part! LOL!

Oh my goodness OUCH ! . I have had a wisdom tooth removed due to it was infected and it caused a sever sinus infection and boy did it ache all over, not nice at all it makes me cringe just thinking about it. I pray all goes well for you and you will be pain free soon and feeling better!

I had an impacted wisdom tooth and the molar next to it removed surgically. Wasn't exactly fun, but I had oxycodon (? oxy-something) after for two days and for two out of every four hours I was pain free all over for the first time in years. I had forgotten what that felt like. I still remember those hours fondly. ;) And I can see how that stuff could easily be addictive! But it was all worth it in the end. You don't realize how much your teeth can be bothering you until they aren't anymore. ;)

Oh! I'm so sorry! I hate dental work. Dairy Queen does help though...

What rotten luck to have not one but TWO abscesses. I hope you can have the necessary surgery soon and feel better. In the meanwhile have lots of nice cold ice cream.

That is a pain for sure, I like the Peanut Parfait at Dairy Queen.
HOPE ALL goes well with the surgery and you feel better soon.

Dental stuff... :-(

Ugh, hate dental stuff, I hope it gets sorted out quickly and you can still afford to buy something at Dairy Queen after. I feel like I've funded all my dentist's vacations and expensive cars.
