Still at home

We are still here at home.  Still tired but we keep on keeping on.   Had to wait outside the ER yesterday for an hour before the Doc came out with the coumadin numbers.

We are able to take care of our own selves.  At times it is touch and go…we wish it was more going but that would be TMI.

I think what I would do is get a standing order for the blood test and simply go to the hospital lab to have it drawn, rather than the ER. Usually you have to go to Out-Patient Admitting to briefly sign-in and then head to the lab. And why do you have to wait for the results? Can't you go home after the blood draw and then call for the results from home? Blessings~ Andrea xoxo

Hope this time is the time when the two of you get to stay home and rest up.

Waiting for results is the pits. We have spent way too many times waiting in hospitals. Our last time a cousin was out of surgery and they decided to return her to her room. The only relatives/family sat an hour in a waiting room. I hope the tests will be more efficient and you can be home longer. Take care all three of you.

"Going" is always a challenge when adding new medication to the equation. Thrilled to hear all three of you are home.

I know you cannot wait until each day is better. Just love the way you support each other. You all 3 are in my prayers.

The lab on weekends is the ER and that is where the Doctor was. He wanted to meet with us both days to see how Far Guy was doing and to check on his coumadin levels and give instructions for the next dosage. If the blood tests changed he would write a new script. Home is 15 miles from the hospital and prescription shops so we were better off waiting there...complicated I know.

I wish you had family living close enough to come and give you a hand, even if it's just doing housework so that you can get more rest. You don't need to get run down.
Take care of yourself so you can take care of your husband :o)

I hope you and Far Guy are having a good day and week ahead. That is hard to wait for results and do all that driving.
