Cold

Still cold.  It might warm up a bit on Sunday afternoon.

Chance is real bored, he wants to go for his ride…I cannot blame him.  He hasn’t been for a ride since Wednesday.

I put away downstairs Christmas except for the Nativity set…I wasn’t ready to put that away yet.  The Christmas totes were gone through…we have a few Christmas decorations that belonged to Far Guy’s Mom…they found their way into a pretty box with a note explaining them.  So I explored the Christmas Totes….vacuumed their area and put them back. Dusted too if that counts.   A bunch of odd ball stuff was piled up to mark for a rummage sale.

The Shiny Brite tree is still up, I am not ready to put that away yet either.

Far Guy worked on his latest flower carving and it is awesome.  I will photograph it soon…before and after painting.

Chance slept…chased his treat ball around, pestered someone to play ball (I did) and he tried to lead us to his treat drawer many times…his restricted diet must be boring for him.    When I was cooking supper he was a pain…underfoot and insistant that he was hungry “NOW.”

Beads in the snow

I hope to make some more of these funky bead creations over the winter.  This one still looks good but it has faded a bit.  I bought some heavier copper wire which might work better.

Hope you all are staying warm. It was turdy below zero here.

Your bead sculptures must be fun in the sun. And especially welcome with a little bit of color against the snow. Fun idea. I've taken everything down except the greens and lights on the fireplace mantle. It's always hard for me to let go of Christmas completely.

So amazingly cold! We haven't gone below zero here in KS. I am slowly putting away Christmas decorations.

Yikes! Now that's cold. I was just grumbling that we didn't even get to 40°F yesterday, and then I read this and said thank you to the weather gods. :-)

Our Christmas tree lights are off but the tree in its stand is still standing on the front porch. We had two warm days but we ran off and played instead of taking down the tree. Next warm spell...

If you have a bird feeder , put the old christmas tree out by it the birds love the cover it gives while using the feeder.
Poor Chance...the thing is he doesn't know this WON'T last forever and not meant to be his new normal.

Yes you with your cold temps remind me that I have nothing really to complain about weather wise. Poor Chance! Our dogs have been a bit short changed on exercise lately so we did make some effort to take them somewhere different yesterday. We only had to deal with freezing rain, well I don't think it was freezing any more at that point, but rather unpleasant with the cold wind.

Turdy below is pretty cold. Here in Minneapolis it has been below zero at times but not anywhere near that bad. Bundle up when you go outside. Wonder if Chance wears those doggie booties? I think they are a good idea here on the tundra.

Winter is such a drag...I so agree with Chance!

It's -10 here at going on noon but I see a guy up on a tired floor balcony across the way standing outside sipping on coffee to keep warm and smoking. That must also be a non-smoking complex. Man, am I ever glad I quit smoking back in 1989. I see seniors with walkers standing right outside our front door (where they are not supposed to smoke) in the freezing cold. If I smoked I would never, ever move into a non-smoking building. BUT--I heard that all rentals are now non-smoking in Minnesota! Is that true?!

I was a little frustrated with our cold spell as you tend to wait for it to end and then you stay in the house...not good.

Days are getting longer -- the sun is coming back but Chance doesn't understand that.

I think this is the longest "cold snap" here In the banana belt in at least ten years. No long walks for Lily and we're all a bit stir crazy.

Poor chance, stuck indoors with no drives AND a restricted diet. I wondered if he is on that diet for life now?

Oh! 30 below! I can't imagine. I would be like Chance, wanting to eat and go outside and play.

Barney could smell chicken frying. He becomes so impatient as he wants to eat and he want eat now, so he can start to be for chicken.

Stay warm - this cold is getting old, I don't want to get used to it. You are adding to your projects, me too. I added a "for me" project yesterday. :)

OK, suddenly it doesn't feel as cold here...

Lilie does that too. "I'm so hungry, you need to fill my treat ball, or give me something to eat while dinner is being made, because I could starve before it's done!"

The girls here are pestering me early for dinner too and they have dry food available all day. I think they're just bored....they can't lay outside as it's too cold and evidently I'm not that great of company! LOL!
Stay warm...-30? I'm cold just thinking about it!
I love your garden beads....so pretty especially in winter when they're not much color....a bright spot!
