Put on the skates

Yesterday it rained like summertime, it sleeted, it rained again with thunder and then it sleeted again and snowed.  What a miseraable mess…now the wind is howling like a banshee.  Wind chills are way below zero.

Having a Blizzard Watch has it’s perks…I got the upstairs all cleaned up but was left with no energy to put up the tree.  My hand/wrist/arm/shoulder will need a day maybe two to rest.

Chance did not like the thunder and stuck to us like glue all day long yesterday.  When I was upstairs he laid at the bottom of the steps.

ornament from Chance

Shiny Brite with skaters that Chance gave me one year…it is painted bright yellow on the inside and stenciled in red on the outside. Soon it will be on the tree…I hope.

Crummy weather, for sure. Never heard thunder here.
Please take it easy for a couple days. :) :)

I've never seen that Shiny Brite or even one similar. I love it! Poor Chance, it should not be thundering in December.

Sounds like us around here.

That weather sounds horrible! I'm glad you're safe and warm inside, resting your overused hand. :-)

The tree can wait - rest your hand, wrist, arm, and shoulder.

You rest...the tree will wait. It's better to have a usable hand, wrist, arm and shoulder ... but, hey, you know that!

Love that ornament. Looks similar to some my mom had many years ago.

Take it easy with that arm! That weather sounds terrible. We have lucked out and are into a mostly sunny stretch, with relatively mild temperatures, kind of unbelievable actually!

That is some wild weather. Once in a long time we get a storm like that.

We also are getting the big winds. They closed the BigMac Bridge to certain vehicles. Wonder what all these winds will be blowing our way? Chickens have been staying inside today; they do not like their feathers ruffled.

Nasty weather you're having. Stay warm and cozy ( and moderately busy)!!

Miserable weather for you. That is a sweet ornament.

Yup all tucked in here, worked from home and glad I did, apparently town was way worse roads yesterday than out here (said the FedEx guy). Stay warm and at least you accomplished a lot!

I describe that weather as combination crap. We have had the wind for a long time. We did finally get that arctic cold. I worked on trees today. No ornament has gone any of them yet.

Heavy wind all day here, and a big change in the weather coming tonight.

Such a cool ornament. Hope you get your tree up soon. I am so slow with decorating this year!

Sounds like weather for indoor projects, for sure. Stay cozy!

Funny how the weather knows when to cooperate with our cleaning projects ;)

Have not had a chance to put up any decorations yet. I always look forward to your shiny brights :-).
