October is almost over

It seems like October began just a few days ago and now there are only a couple of days left. Where does time go anyways.  Sometime I just want to holler STOP…I need more time to catch up!

The scarecrow flag is up.  Most of the snow has melted.

It was a dreary day, no sunshine, but at least there were no gale force winds. We went for a ride in the late afternoon…it is dark after supper…Chance misses his evening drives…so we have to take him for a ride during the day.

I am thankful that we got our yard work done and for a warm and cozy home.

It was a very cold blustery day here yesterday. Sure don't like it getting dark so early. But like you I am thankful for a nice warm home.

I am also thankful for a warm and cozy home to come into when the weather is bad. Looks pretty nice there, though. Yesterday the brown leaves blew everywhere in the fierce wind.

Had the high winds here in Florida and now temps have dropped into the 40s, freezing for Floridians! Have a great week :)

Oh I feel the same way, before you can get started good, the day is gone! I love the winter pictures in your header. And that snow! It feel almost cold here this morning. 41 degrees but the wind makes it feel much colder.

Soon the time will change...my body runs on the sun anyway so the time change won't mean anything but ....WINTER!

Wind advisory here today. Wonder if it will reach your way? You don''t need more leaves in the yard. ;) I am glad to be inside where it is warm and dry, too. Sometimes I think about the pioneers and just shudder.

I'm with you - I'd love to make time stop once in a while! It passes much to quickly and now the holidays are almost upon us. I'm glad Chance still gets to enjoy his car rides even if they are earlier in the day. I hate it when it gets dark so early. Is that an old split rail fence in your last picture? I love the old rail fences.

I'm with Red--let's go backward for a bit. It was gray and rainy here today, too. On Wednesday, November starts, which in southwest Ohio means we won't see a lot of sunshine till May.

Sigh.

It was lovely here today and we got more clean up done in the yard. Weather change is arriving on Wednesday with the month of November.

Is that an after-the-snow photo? Couldn't tell that there was all that snow just a few days ago! Crazy weather.

I bought my first flag today; now I just have to figure out how to hang it.
