Minnesota Snowball

We sure could have used a snowball or two the last couple of days have been unseasonably warm…82 F or 27 C yesterday and Friday was 86 F or 30 C eh.  We usually don’t hit that warm of temperatures until late June.

The Minnesota Snowball is in full bloom.

MN snowball in bloom

I have been enjoying it all week.

Minnesota Snowball

Viburnum opulus ‘Roseum’ I think is it’s real correct name.

Our Trillium

Far Guy’s Trillium is beginning to fade to pink.

Mowing the lawn is almost a full time job now a days.  I was able to get a few of the glass flowers out yesterday and we purchased plants for our little garden out front and they are now enjoying their first day in the garden and we hope the darn old squirrels leave the plants alone.

Good Morning, Such pretty blooms. We had Trillium that grew at Nalley Valley and I just loved the delicate blooms. The squirrels here dig up our bulbs. I enjoy your glass flower creations. I saw a glass Angel recently on another blog...Have you made an Angel?

Beautiful Snowball bush. Reminds me of the neighbor's yard when I was a child. There were snowball bushes planted along the front and side of her house. My mother had lots of flowers but no snowball bushes. Our trillium are gone but the showy Lady's slipper orchids are blooming at Cedar Bog (which is a fen which must be what the lady's slippers like). It was hot here yesterday...89...supposed to be back to the 70s by mid-week.

Love your snowballs! Much better than that they are named after!

Enjoy the pretty blooms. My late-blooming (almost pink lilac) and my yellow iris have opened this week. They are my favorite spring flowers, but so short-lived.

We've been warmer over here across the way. 93 I saw on Friday and I think we hit 90 again yesterday. They're saying 88 today. To me--this is July-August weather.
Love the snowballs! :)

30 C daytime highs are okay if the nights cool off to 10 C

I love snowball bushes. Ours is now snowing it's petals down onto the ground, almost done for this year.

Such pretty snowballs! I'm sure you like these much better than the cold, snowy kind.

The Snowball bush is very lovely!!
30C is just too hot for my liking. Who feels like doing anything when it's so hot!!

I have a snowball tree in my yard too. It is more a tree than a bush because it's about 15 ft. tall and is pruned so that the bottom branches are about head height. Love it!

Love the snowball bush! You're warmer than we are. I was 61 when I got up this morning but it's been rainy so that keeps the temp down. Today is supposed to be 81 for a high but with all the rain we've had I bet it will be very humid which I detest!
