Chance : Dirty Snow

I am supposed to forget about eating the dirty snow.   You know how hard that is for a dog that likes to chop down a bunch of snow?

Dont eat the dirty snow

It is really hard…the whole world is like one giant popsicle to a dog…avoid the yellow ones she says….now the dirty snow ones too. Picky picky picky.

She says I should wipe my paws too…only in her dreams.  She mumbled about some kinda booties…

Dirty snow

She is bossy. I am supposed to ignore skunks, every night after dark and sometimes at o dark thirty AM she traipses out with me waving that flashlight and barking like some lunatic dog so the skunks if they are in the yard will run away.

They are waiting for the mud to come and go and the dirty snow to melt before taking me to the GROOMER.  They spell it sometimes…but I am pretty smart and have it all figured out.

Look out

What a bunch of "party poopers" they are. Everyone knows how much you like to eat snow and chase skunks. You still "take" a nice picture even if you haven't been to the groomer yet.

I knew you were smart, Chance, but I didn't know what a good speller you have become! :-)

Mom keeps telling me I need to go to the groomer. Mom says any day now.

Chance, if you & the other dogs would use your saliva, like we do, you could give yourself a bath & then groom yourselves. Then you wouldn't have to go to the groomers!! Shadow & Min, Sandy in California's cats.

Someone needs to film Farside on your nightly adventures! ;-) Wouldn't it make more sense to wait until after mud season to visit the groomer? I'm sure you'd agree Chance, to any delay in the groomer visit ;-)

Yes, best to wait until after Sloppy Spring to go to the groomers.
A dog can't help but eat snow. Dirty snow is at least better than yellow snow--LOL! :)

Sometimes people are inconsiderate of a good old dog.

Yuch, Chance...dirty snow? You should be grateful that "she who must be obeyed" is out there scaring off the critters. You do not want to tangle with a skunk!

Ha ha! Chance has got it all figured out!

Why is it that dogs prefer water from mud puddles and cats love Christmas tree water? That is a question asked at our house and we hope that you can answer it for our owners because we don't know.

Well Chance our Miggs gorges on snow to and then gets the burps and she eats bunny poop to YUK and we don't let her kiss us much that's for sure lol ! Miggs so prefers puddles to water in her bowl if she has a choice funny it is to us humans lol ! as for skunks we seem to be not to bad on that as Miggs pet parents we keep the back lights on in the evenings till bed time which seems to keep the skunks away for now all though Miggs got nailed a few years ago by a skunk that didn't seem to care lights on or off lol ! Miggs will be going to the groomers again soon to get her summer do as she has already had her spring do and it grows fast . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day .

Dirty snow makes dirty dogs. I guess you need a fresh new layer.

Dear Chance: Ask your humans for a raise. You're not only a companion, but...an entertainer, too!
