Stones and Roads

The Grandgirls gave us some garden stones for Christmas.  They made one for Chance too.

Garden stones from the girls

I talked with Savannah and decided that they should be sealed.  So that was one of the projects for yesterday.

Now they are all ready to put out in the spring.   Spring…seems so far off.

Roads still not great

Some of the roads are still not great.  We ventured out to go to the dump and to recycle.

Snow drifts

In some areas the snow banks are quite high.  This is the most snow we have seen in a few years.

We will warm up this next week and it may rain again.  Crazy stupid weather anyway.

We snowblowed…with the ice under a layer of snow that stupid ass machine wants to dig down and spin it’s tires.  We got the worst of the snow moved…Chance has a spot over toward the edge of the woods to poop and the bulk of the snow was removed from the patio.

  2. Pretty garden stones. I especially like the dragon flies. I have one with the twins' handprints when they were 1 that I see every time I walk out the door.
Wow, that's a lot of snow. And I know how much work it is to clear it away!

  3. The garden stones are beautiful. Such nice gifts. The snow can go anytime now. I'm tired of doing the don'twannafallandbreaksomethingshuffle.

  4. What a wonderful gift idea especially for both of you and Chance too. They are really pretty and they put a lot of thought into that gift! I just think that is the neatest! What thoughtful grand girls you have!
The one thing about those big piles of snow is if you start to slide you can just head for one! Preferably one without a tall pole sticking out of it.

  7. It's rained here for five days...most snow is all gone. The fog is thick and I'm sick of the gray skies.

    Come on SPRING!

  8. Snow piles everywhere in my area, too. I'm trying to accept them as part of the landscape because they'll be here for at least three more months. Sigh!

The garden stones are lovely. Got a spot picked out for them?

  13. Very pretty stones! You just reminded me of a joke I saw on Facebook: "Don't ever make snow angels in a dog park. Trust me on this." Hahaha! :-)

  14. OK, backing up to the images of those pretty stones instead of the dog poop.

  17. I am reading this late but I can appreciate the frustration of the season. It is never easy to get through winter but this one seems to be throwing us a lot of bad curves. I think our spring thaw is coming soon but that won't last for very long.
