Shiny Brite Tree 2016

It is done!  Actually I thought it was done once, took some photos and added just a few more ornaments.  Typical for me.

Upstairs Tree

Finished finally!  Far Guy wants a photo from outside..there is about a foot of snow on that deck.  It has not been a priority for shoveling.Gingham Susans

The Gingham Ornament is one from Susan, this is it’s first year on the tree!

Kay ornament

This is an ornament from Kansas Kay!

There it is…decorated before Christmas!

It is still cold here…brrrr. Headed for dangerous wind chills on Saturday and Sunday.  Wind is expected and lows will be –20 to –30F or –28 to 34C eh.  Winter Fun in Minnefreezeyourbuttoffsota!

  3. Very beautiful! What a wonderful way to display your treasures. By the way, what is the picture that is hanging to the left of your sliding door? Is it of a falls?

  4. Here is something for the grandkids to try or maybe they have before. I read on Pinterest or someplace that if you blow bubbles outside - - the kind of bubble solution used in the summer months - - that they will freeze. We have never tried that but it would be fun? If they get bored, have them experiment for us in the South.
The tree looks BEAUTIFUL! Glad you are having good days to do your traditional stuff. That Lyme's really hits hard sometimes, doesn't it? I hate that for someone as creative and motivated as you are.

  5. Lovely!! And so shiny, of course. ;) But be careful if you go out on the deck. I'd wait until it warms up a bit in a couple days. Monday could be 24 above instead of 24 below--LOL! And that's not even wind chill temps. Brrrr! I think of poor Chance and whoever goes out with him, if you even do when it's this darn cold. Stay warm!!! :)

  7. Your tree is getting to be almost filled. A hundred more would mean that we couldn't see any green at all of the tree. It is beautiful. We have yet to put up the village but it can be done in an hour or less. I have all things carried upstairs waiting for the two people to attack, get on to the process. We are getting the snow and the very cold wind. My birds are being blown off of the feeder while I try to take their photos. This may go down as one of our longest winters to endure even thought it started so late. You two have been at it a few more weeks longer than us. Stay safe and warm.

  10. So pretty, joyous and festive! I'm sure it keeps things warmer to have all the light and sparkles coming off your trees. There are LOTS of things I miss about Minnesota, but winter weather is not one of them.

  11. The tree is beautiful! I've probably said this before, but I love your pretty warm wood walls. Sometimes I think I'm tired of our log and cedar walls, but really not...they are cozy and warm.
