Thursday Thoughts

The only color left in the yard is the Euonymus I think the variety is ‘Chicago Fire.’

Euonymus

If you look closely you will see the winged branch and the berries.  You should not eat the berries…eventually birds will eat them.

Euonymus putting on a show

Chance had a good birthday, he had company in the morning…Odda came to visit.  I ordered him a gift but it isn’t here yet.  It is a treat/dog food dispensing ball, it will keep him busy in the evenings.  Now that it gets dark so early we have to go for rides before supper.

Our weather is dark and dreary, it was rainy off and on yesterday.

I stayed busy the past few days working on a carving project and the train Christmas cards and odd jobs around the house.   I cleaned out a few nooks and cranies that I had been ignoring for several weeks and washed my Fall coat and my favorite Fall gloves.

We have been getting lots of political propaganda in the mail.  I am keeping track and those who wasted the most paper will not get my vote. Democrat or Republican I don’t care who it is I refuse to vote for a paper waster…same goes for phone calls, you call me fine…you lost my vote.

I laughed out loud at your candidate selection process! I think it's probably a very good way to sort out who has good values. Plastic is my nemesis. I wonder how I could find out the local candidates' stand.
That bush is gorgeous. Is that the same as Burning Bush? I miss my burning bush.

I sent in my mail in ballot yesterday. Glad to have that behind me. I like your selection process. :-)

Chance is going to like the treat ball: my niece's two dogs are fun to watch with theirs. Those balls keeps them occupied for a long time.

Happy Birthday Chance! What lovely pictures. I would HUMBLY ask you to pray about how important this election IS for us and out grandchildren. We can't have an angry dangerous man in charge! Have a nice weekend

Mailed my ballot out yesterday.
Lovely bush! Nice to have a spot of flaming color late in the year. :)
I hope Chance likes his ball!! They make them for cats, too.

Both you and L.D. have these lovely burning bushes. I sure miss having one.
Glad Chance had a good bdy. He will love his bdy present. The lack of daylight is somewhat depressing for us. The nights seem so long!

Sorry to admit but I sent the dull dreary weather. We've had dull dreary weather for 3 weeks and it's still dull.

I love euonymus, we had a big bush in a yard where we once lived when my children were very young. Fall makes me so homesick for the midwest. Fall is just not the same here....I can't describe it but it's not like the falls I remember. Thank you for your pictures. I got my old Midwest Living magazines out so I'll pretend. Chicago fire is aptly named! Gorgeous! I'm glad Chance had a good birthday and I bet he will love his 'treat ball'!

I don't like the political progaganda mail either. I don't even read it. The Burningf Bush is beautiful and I love to spot them this time of year.

I've also been keeping busy sorting stuff. Who needs six different scarves, I ask you!! Two boxes are ready to go to the thrift store and more to go I'm sure.
The "dark and dreary" part of winter is the worst of it. By 4 o'clock it's dark and seems like night.
