Together

We were lucky to have Jen, Andy and the boys join us for Easter dinner.
The boys had some “together” time as they hunted for Easter eggs and baskets.
Tied their legs together
Yes, they are tied together, teamwork will reap the sweet rewards.
Boys and dogs
Little Elvis and Miss Miney thought it was great fun as the boys hopped through the yard.
Noah and Adam Easter Baskets
Here they are handsome as ever with their baskets.
Easter Baskets
A peep into a basket!
We had a wonderful dinner: ribs, baked potato, corn and homemade crescent rolls.
Carrot Cake
Jen made her signature carrot cake, let me tell you it was really yummy!
During dinner I asked the boys a question.  How old do you think you will be when you get married?   Adam said 92, he figured he would get married and then die.  Noah answered “early to mid thirties when I am financially stable.”

The marriage answers made me laugh out loud! That cake looks delicious! Sounds like a great day. At long last, I have up a blog post.

Those marriage answers are a chuckle, and it looks like a fun hopping Easter was had at your house.

It looks like they escaped from each other at some stage during the hunt?

Interesting cooperative twist on the egg hunt. And what a good, probing question to ask. The answers are revealing, which is exactly what you want.
Even though I had a lot of candy yesterday, that cake is making me want more sweets right now!

My two boys are such good friends. They were three years apart and they leaned on each other a lot. Your grandsons are like my sons. They are really two different guys but they do have a bond. They sure have grown up these past years.

I love the carrots on the carrot cake! They are never too big for Easter baskets, are they. I see some cash in there -- much appreciated I'm sure! Sounds like a fun Easter.

Looks like a lot of fun. The carrot cake looks delicious.

My oldest grandson brought his girlfriend to meet us yesterday. I didn't ask any awkward questions ( this time).

You know, you just made me wish I'd had some carrot cake for Easter! Maybe I'll do it tomorrow instead. It sure does look like you all had fun, in any event. :-)

I see there's more than candy in the Easter baskets. Granny salted the candies!

Sounds like Noah's got his head on straight...at least for now. We'll see who gets smitten first ;)

What a lovely day you had! Those boys are a "tall drink of water"! I feel bad...I didn't send that much stuff to my grands! LOL! But they need more "stuff" as they get older. That cake is a work of art!
