Change

Uffda that time change is a bugger for me.  My butt is draggin.  It is really really dark at Chance o’ Thirty when he wants out…we traipsed around in the dark and in the fog until he was done.  No way am I leaving him out in the dark alone.  At least it was warm.

My sorts are out, it usually takes me a week or three to get used to it all. One little old hour shouldn’t be a big deal…at least that is what I tell myself.

I took down the snowman and put up the bunny.   Easter is sneaking up fast.

Yesterday at the grocery store the little old lady in front of me lost some of her coupons and couldn’t find her rewards card …she blamed it all on daylight saving time.  I say little old lady because she is at least 15 years older than me.  She handed the checkout gal a whole raft of coupons to go through.  That made the checkout gals day.  I wasn’t in my normal store…cause I needed yogurt and since I don’t appreciate change I only like one kind and our usual store was completely sold out. Word musta got around that Black Cherry Greek Yogurt is really good…now that store is sold out too.

Change what you can, and if you cannot then you just have to go with the flow and have a good long nap.

Exactly my reaction to the time change - an opportunity for an afternoon nap.

I don't like Daylight Savings either. I was just enjoying the daylight when I got up and now we are back to the dark. I have been overly tired and cranky since it began; hopefully by Friday I will be back to my usual self. Change and I don't get along anymore - must be the "Old Timers" disease setting in.

I wish we would stay on DST year round. We only use standard time for four months out of the year now. Sigh. I am adjusted to it but really dislike the other way, an extra hour in the day. :-)

I wish it would stay one way or another. I read a few stays or trying to pass that law.

I hate the change to day light savings time, hated it when I worked and don't like it any better since I retired. My rear is dragging.

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Daylight savings time. Now it's dark again when I go to work....

I don't understand why all but two states have been sucked into Daylight Saving Time. The sun rises and sets on its own schedule, and we cannot control it. Why on earth, do we continue to try and fool ourselves that we are actually saving energy? I

'm tired of others saying the farmers pushed for DST - bull, they still get up before the sun and work late into the night! Let's be honest about who wants DST.

I think we should just get rid of Nov through to Feb and not worry about any time changes at all:) The rest of the year the days are long enough that it doesn't matter too much to me.

Either word got out about your black cherry yogurt or . . . your blog readership is off the charts! I'm not much for change, either. In fact, I was thinking about that just this morning. I agree about the napping!

I don't like Daylight Saving Time either and one of our 3 little dogs is still operating on Central Standard Time!

I too really like black cherry yogurt. IN was pushed into EST from the normal CST by one vote from a Rep and he was royally rewarded. Then DST is put on top of that making it two hours ahead. I saw a study that said it takes most people three weeks to adjust. It is not the farmers!! It is those who play golf.

We’re changing clocks at the end of the month; I will spend a week at least complaining. The most annoying thing is my husband doesn’t care. He instantly accepts the new time and complains about me complaining.

Me too. That one hour didn't USED to bother me... but the past 4-5 years have been moider!

We can go with the flow but we can also complain a bit. So Daylight saving time doesn't mesh with dog time!

My hubby kept wanting Dannon peach yogurt, regular not Greek. Now we buy plain and he adds a spoonful of peach preserves. You can't always get what you want, but...sometimes you can get what you need.

There are so many things I haven't been able to buy down here and my yogurt is one of them. I want plain organic yogurt, full fat not low fat or fat free. Seems simple but the only place I've found it is over an hour away so I, too, have to make do. I get a little grumpy. :-(

I hate the change too...any change. I like prune yogurt. It sells fast too and I haven't been able to find it the past couple of trips to town.

I'm badly off kilter from the dreaded DST, too. Takes me weeks, also, to adjust.
I can handle a lot of change as long as I have my coffee. ;)

Isn't it strange that almost everyone wants to do away with DST yet we still are forced to have it? Somehow seems wrong. But, as Rita puts it, as long as I have my morning coffee!!

DST is no problem for us now that we don't have to get up in the mornings to go to work (or in your case, let the dog out). It's just the rainy weather that got me down.

Well...not like you kept it a secret, either. No wonder they've sold out.

I'm doing really well this year with the time change...surprised myself and I'm getting up the same time 5 or 6 as if the time never changed. Maybe ignoring it as much as possible has finally worked? I miss my yogurt as I used to have it every morning but the doc said no milk products but I do go off the wagon occasionally.
