Home

I am happy to be home.  Far Guy and Chance were happy to see me.  I have unpacked, begun some laundry and I took a long nap.
Chance
The roads home were great except for some icy and snow compacted conditions the last 25 miles.   I expected that the roads would not be perfect.  It is January after all and we do live in Minnesota.  We are headed into the deep freeze with below zero temperatures forecast for the weekend.  Brrrr…

I guess there is some big football game on Sunday, I wouldn’t know about it other than one radio station talked about it non stop.  So much football and so little Hockey news…kinda unfair.

I suppose since I am home now I should make a list…and the Shiny Brite tree should probably be on the top of the list, It doesn’t look like I need to dust the ornaments yet!   I am behind on entering recipes in the Ipad also, my five recipes a week seemed doable but I am already behind.

Glad to know you are safely home. My feet can already feel the colder temperature here in MN. It's chilly this morning! "Chilly" is Minnesota nice for what we're getting, isn't it? :-) There is a vicarious part of me that was interested in snaggin tickets to that big football game just because the prices were dropping because of the chill in the outdoor stadium, but I am not that vicarious. Shiny Brites sound like they're coming down. It's a sad, sad time "up north". :-(

Thankful that you made a safe trip. We've been hearing about your cold weather. You guys take care and don't overdo this weekend.

Yes there is a football game here in Minneapolis on Sunday and the temperatures are to be below or just a little above zero. Big article in the Star Tribune about a company that is going to supply the players with specially designed clothing to deal with the cold. I hope that works and the fans sure could use some of that too.

I know about that football game because the visiting team is coming from Seattle! We hear about this nonstop on the news, and especially the cold. Brrr! Hope everybody is okay, both here and there. Glad you're home safe and sound, too. :-)

Glad you made it home okay! I know about this football game 'cause my hubby is a big Vikings fan. And of course I live in Seahawks country....

Glad you made it home safely. You can catch up with the recipes, you can, you can!
I am trying to clean up my computer. It was one of my New Years 'intentions' I just finished deleting over 8000 emails. I was bad at ever deleting anything. Of course I had to go through them all to make sure I didn't delete any that I wanted to keep:) It's a wonder the delete button is still working.

Well if its' NDSU my son will be cheering them on from Arizona. I won't discuss it with however because the topic is person no grat since the Bison crushed and hapless Gophers several time in recent years. Ugh!!!! As to the Vikings and pro football in general I'm not a fan given their track record of various forms of criminal behavior. It's been years since I've even watched a game. Sadly even our much revered Gopher hockey program has fallen in recent years to utter mediocrity. And that the Troutbirder sports report for today...:(

Home sweet home, nothing like being home, after being gone for a while. Glad you made it ok, and now back to the old grind ;)

Good that you got home safely. Hockey news is always tucked in behind football and basketball. Luckily baseball is a summer sport or hockey would be hid the baseball news.

Welcome home.

Hockey? You need a pro hockey team somewhere around where you live. Then maybe the news will be different. Even we have one in our city ;)

Glad you made the journey home safely, despite the snow and ice.

Glad you had a safe trip. When football is on, I try to just cheer when my friends do but my mind is on gardening and crafting. xo Lynn

Good to hear you made it safely home. My neighbor in Minnesota keeps me informed of the weather at my house. This morning she sent s photo of ice on all the trees and a report of -7 tonight. Stay warm!

I'm glad you waited until the roads were safer. I guess I've gotten soft in my old age...I hate driving on slippery roads. I've been busy with a sick person as well, so just now catching up reading blogs. Will post something soon, I hope. Happy New Year!

Glad you are home safe. I figured the roads might be questionable after the snowstorm. It's so good to be home again, isn't it? Really cold weekend for football, that's for sure.

So glad you are home safe and that certainly means your daughter is healing well! YAY! Thank you for the lovely blog comments and I'm finally back on trying to catch up with the blogger buddies I couldn't comment on (and still can't except from this computer - whatever). :)

I am happy to hear of your safe return. sounds like you have projects to keep you busy. Me too. But Sunday morning I WILL be watching football. All we are talking about here in Seattle is how COLD it is going to be when the Seahawks play the Vikings.

Glad you got home safe and sound! I bet Far Guy and Chance missed you. We had a rain storm this morning then no power for 3 hours and now it's much colder and there were some snow flakes falling! It's crazy down here!
