Dreary Days

Seems like the sun is lost, the days are dark and dreary.

November 5 2015

The rain will probably turn to snow soon. The high yesterday was 40 F or 4C eh!

I put out a couple of glass flowers just to see how they do outside for the winter.

Snowstick

I dug out some old wood carving projects. A few “someday” projects were found.

carvings

Some wonky looking trees and some Santa ornaments.  Those Santas were one of my first carving projects…I had a lot to learn back then.  I think they will fine painted..they will look rustic if nothing else.  One less box of half finished carvings for our daughters to discover.

I will be busy painting for a couple of days.

Good grief, and I was thinking of moving up your way to see the sun! Those carvings look great! Painting them sounds like fun.

Those trees have a fun shape. I might try doing them in polymer clay.

It is like that here today and cooler. That is the most thing about winter I do not like
dark dreary. Got to have light to grow.

I like the wonky pines. They look friendly! Hope you get some sunshine soon. We have had several days of rain and dreary clouds in SC too.

Dreary here, too. I guess it goes with the territory, huh?

Your carvings are great, and they will make someone very happy.

Dreary here too, today - but at least it is warm (70F).

The Santas look pretty neat to me!!!

Funny! We both used "wonky" in our posts today. I love the pines. They look like the one next to my house.

I can't believe how hot and sunny it is here in Florida. I feel a little bit like it's... wrong! :-)

The snow stick looks a little lonely! We haven't had any rain or snow. It's pretty dry.

The cold has set in but the sun is shining. It makes it frustrating as I don't like to bundle up to work outside. We were gray yesterday most all of the day and a slight rain came through. I can't believe all the things the kids will find when I am gone. Hopefully we make one more move and things will clear out a little more.

Dreary and damp here today too. A good day for making jam, so I twisted my arm and got myself going on some. Your box of painting is a good thing to do on one of those kind of days too.

Dark and dreary with heavy rains forecast. I baked bread and butter tarts to keep myself busy. Happy painting.

I'm back and catching up. I see the snow stick is up. Hopefully that will keep the snow away for a while.
Darkness and dampness have descended on us too.

It's amazing what a little paint and color will do. :)
Yes, been some dark, drizzly days.
I'm curious as to how the glass flowers survive the winter and how they will look blanketed with snow.

I wish I could be as organized and "on top of things" as you are but I truly think I will get there once I settle in my "forever home". Every home I've ever had was shared with someone and they left their stuff and their memories...this time it will just be me and the girls and our "stuff" and our memories. I can't wait! Love your carvings even without the paint!
