Chance: I Saw

Finally …MY TURN!

I saw;

A Coyote running  lickety - split across the highway and into the field.

Wild Turkeys

The Wild Turkeys are bunching up.  There is safety in numbers.

Injured Turkey

The old injured turkey keeps on hobbling along on one good leg, his other leg just flops around…but he can fly.  Sometimes you have to make do with what you have.

Smoky Hills

The Smoky Hills are at peak color.  What is green is either Evergreen or Larch ( Tamarack)…which is turning color fast.

We are all doing fine for elderly people/dogs.

I've wondered if you had forgotten how to blog, Chance, it's been so long. Seems you're still doing fine for an elderly dog. :-)

Keep on keeping on! Emma is scared today. It's opening day of waterfowl season, and the guns are booming.

Hi Chance! It's been a long hot summer here but we are finally getting cool weather! My favorite time of year...Annie not so much. Mom and I are having some arthiritis issues but we are determined to "work it out" by getting back on the walking regiment. We are really alert right now as the deer are in rut and I have to constantly go outside and warn them away....last night it was 11:30! Mom has the windows open at night now so I can hear them better but after me getting her out of bed at 11:30 last night she'll probably close the windows now so I can't hear them. The armadillos are on the move too! Glad you are enjoying the fall and all the activity around your neighborhood. Take care! Are you getting your winter coat yet?

Yes Chance it is good to see you back blogging. I tell Barney to do my creative zone blog but he refuses to work on a mac. We have large turkeys along our highway when we go to town. The look big to me like they are domestic turkeys but maybe I have never been close to a wild bird like that before. I see them at a distance in southern Iowa everywhere but these birds are eating in the grass right next to the highway and don't seem to mind fast cars going by them. I must take my camera with me and get someone's viewpoint. Maybe you Chance can help me out.

Lovely scenery and open landscape! Hope the poor one-legged turkey survives.
