May Baskets

We did the May Basket deliveries.  One group was off doing princess “stuff”, another little gal was sound asleep.  Got to see lots of dogs…Ivy and Roxie, Joe and Ellie, Putz and Odda.

These two children were home…they were just getting ready to head out for a ride.

It was a beautiful evening.

Grain Bin and Moon

It rained a bit early Friday morning…but not enough to make a difference.  We need rain badly.

We have Bluebirds in a house by the end of the old drive.  Jo down the road has a pair too.  I will have to stalk them one of these days.  The Robins are here but they are not building a nest on their platform yet…and not on the ladders either.

The last photo is so beautiful. It almost looks like you live in the mountains. Hurray for bluebirds. I have not see my first one yet but I'm sure they are here.

That's a great picture! I guess you are wanting your robins to build nests on the platform or the ladder. So I'm hoping to see that they did that very thing. :-)

Hopefully, that rain will come. We have had a bit of rain here in Texas to get us out of "extreme drought", but it is always refreshing to see that rain come. I will look forward to pictures of the bluebirds.

Your evening sky shot is Beautiful! I am so glad you did the May Baskets. I look forward to reading about them and seeing the basket creations you make.
Not good about no rain. Praying you see some soon. Between low snowfall for you this year and rain holding off, your water table is going to be low.

Wishing for rain, for both of us...it's already so dry. And all of that snow that we had, gone and it's lovely moisture also.

I love the idea of the May baskets, that is always a fun tradition to read about.

I didn't wish you a Happy May 1. So belatedly I find out that you did have a good May 1 and made some people happy.

I went to Wikipedia and read about May baskets. I love the idea. It has never been done around here as far as I know. I would love to do it. Of course, I'd hate get shot out here, ringing a doorbell and running away. :) I do remember the may pole with the ribbons from grammar school, we did that part.

Blue birds would be wonderful to have. We have a state park near here that we can go to see them. I have a male wren back now singing like crazy probably trying to get the female to come to the house on the sherd.

I can send you some rain over. You keep me supplied with delightful words and pictures, it is only fair that I send you something in return.

I bet Chance loved visiting his friends the most. ;)
We had a thunderstorm last night...got all excited...but it lasted all of about 20 minutes. We'll take it, but we need lots more.

I have not seen any robins or bluebirds. It seems I only have crows, cardinals and bluejays and the others I can't identify. They could be out there but I just don't see them. So glad you have some nesting near you.
