Wistful Wednesday: October 1966

These photos surfaced recently.

Apparently there was a gathering at a girl’s house in Park Rapids.

Gene

Far Guy reading a Car Magazine.

Frank

Frank being the disc jockey.

These two must have been the life of the party!

Oh how funny. You have me laughing.
Recently at our block party, we discovered we are the Oldest folks on the block. One couple asked if we had a radio they could borrow for the party. John sprung into action and bragged about how he could really throw a good party with music ...........back in the 70's!!!!!! lol They were not born til the 90's!

You can tell these photos are dated, even if you didn't know the people in them. Love Frank's letter sweater. It would be worth a lot today, I think. :-)

I think I see a projector screen over the window with the TV in it. Looks like some dedicated "home slide show" showers!! Now that would be a party (laffs!)

I laughed at the tv behind Frank...wonder what the size of that is? My hubby has a 66 GTO Muscle Car, and it is so much fun. We had to get a Jan & Dean CD. Can you imagine how hard that was to find?

These pix remind me of similar parties where as a teen I felt so awkward and uncomfortable. Ah, life.

1966! I sure didn't like how houses were decorated back then. :) That bottom picture reminds me of my living room at one time. :)

The curtains of the time were so wild. We had abstract shapes on a white background that reminded me of a modern painting. I couldn't see my mom buying them but she loved all the different red and orange shapes and there were no flowers.
