One turned into five

The Yellow Lady’s Slippers along the back drive had one early bloom and four late ones…so there were five in total.  In 2012 there were seven blooms.

This year there are four…

Four blooms

and this one makes five.

The fifth bloom

We have been working on our woodcarvings that are Christmas Ornaments.   They are coming along.

Jen had a 8mm kidney stone blasted yesterday, hopefully the particles are small enough to pass on their own now.   She was resting…and Handy Andy will be taking good care of her.

Far Guy is feeling better, he still has a bit of a cough.  I am feeling better except I am still real tired.  So I rest and nap.

Very sorry to hear about Jen. I know that is painful. Prayers for each of you to feel better soon.

Glad to hear that finally FG is feeling a little better. I was worried about him. And you seem to be back in your usual blogging routine, so that also makes me happy. Life is good in Minnesnowda. :-)

Glad to hear that your daughter is feeling better, that's one honking big stone, it's good that it's gone. And I just read about your deer, could you imagine it going home and saying to it's deer family, I just jumped over the weirdest thing...

Best wishes to Jen for a quick passing of that stone. I understand they can be very painful. Glad both you and Far Guy are recovering. Tell Far Guy that cough can hang on for quite a while. Just keep resting a lot and eating right, both of you. Your bodies have been through a lot lately.

You remind me that I have to get out and see what's left of the Lady slippers here.

My goodness, this has not been a good Spring (health wise) for the FarSide family. Praying that everyone regains good health SOON.

The good news is you are still recovering even if it is cutting into your summertime fun! However you are still being productive and may not feel the Christmas rush as much this year with the year start on the ornaments. Other than being tired, isn't it nice to have your schedule where you CAN sleep when you want or need to? The clock doesn't matter as much since you don't have to be at work! Sure hope Jen passes her stone quickly so she can enjoy the fine weather, too.
The year of 2000 was a rough one for us with my mom in and out of dialysis - - - - and 1984 after the birth of our second child - - - lots of health problems one on top of the other. Some years are definitely more difficult and we don't want to repeat them - - - for any amount of money.

Glad you guys are getting back to normal. Poor Jen, I hope they blasted them good and she's back on her feet in no time. Those stones can be very painful I hear. Love the lady slippers and I hope they aren't dying out on you.

Wild orchids and Lady Slippers - so beautiful! It has been a very long time since I have seen any of our native Lady Slippers. I fear they are almost extinct.
