Say something nice!

It seems like the worm has turned.  Summer is here and along with it came the rain that we should have had last spring along with the snow that we should have had last winter.
It has rained the past three maybe four days.

Say something nice!  My car is nice and clean. All the pollen has been washed from every leaf in the forest.
The mosquitoes will be as big as birds…maybe bigger.

With every rain drop that falls the larger the mosquitoes become in my mind. Until they become the size of the crop sprayers that spread their fungicides or insecticides..or what ever kind of hazardous chemical that they spray on the long French fries so they fit in a box nicely field that is right across from the end of our driveway.
Say something nice!  Think of all the old pickup trucks that can be fueled with the old used French Fry oil.
I have watched people scurry around with their umbrellas and rain coats on.  I had neither..I did have an old beach towel in the car and plopped it on my head as I sauntered to the house one day..through the puddles..I am not sweet enough to even begin melting..and a little rain never hurt anybody..good thing I was wearing my favorite plastic shoes:)

I've learned that rain doesn't melt me, either. Around here only the tourists use umbrellas. Sometimes I see people walking around in the rain in short sleeved t-shirts and jeans as if they weren't even getting wet!

If only rain would melt some of me! :)

i don't melt in the rain either. But my Mama did tell me that rain will make my hair grow. We haven't had any rain in S.E. WI but my hair grew anyway. It is so dry here that our trees are dying and the grass is all brown - grass will survive, trees won't. Good luck with your "super sized" mosquitoes.

We are enjoying (?) that end result of the rain right now. So far, the skeeter-beeters are really tiny - but oh, so annoying! At least when they are bigger you have a larger target to swat at!
I'm so glad you are getting some rain.

Ha ha, everyone wishes for weather other than what we get. Rather rain and skeeters than the fires for sure. Oh and is that second shot one of your large mosquitos? LOL

Feast or famine...we are in a drought here and there's high fire danger. I'd rather have the rain except for what happened in Duluth! I always life up my face to the rain and look at is as God's moisturizer but then again with acid rain maybe it's more like one of those face peels? LOL! Say something nice? Ok, the lack of rain here has kept the humidity at bay and I must admit there are very few mosquitoes down here...they can't take the heat! LOL!

The bigger the mosquitoes, the easier they are to see and kill:)
We have lots of umbrellas. If the rain is blowing, give me an umbrella to keep the rain off my face. It's probably my British heritage coming through, and I always joke about the rain being good for my complexion. Although if that was the case, with the rain we get here, I should be looking younger not older!

We need some of that rain but we have our on mosquitoes so we don't need you to send yours. Just the rain please!

We are desperate for some of that rain here. It is dry as a bone here in central Illinois.

I knew you'd get some rain! Heck the repeated rain clouds blow through here so fast sometimes I don't think the rain has time to hit the ground--the proof is in the puddles, though. Basically it's usually headed in your direction.

Mosquitoes--they're an inevitability. Just don't want to see them so big they can carry off Chance! ;)

They could use some of that rain out West.
Maybe you'll have a boom in the dragonfly population to eat the mosquitoes.

I don't use an umbrella much either. You still get wet so why bother?

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

If we could only order the weather we want , everything would be fine...until the next guy didn't like the weather we ordered.

We have not had rain in weeks and we're watering the sod every other day! We are being overrun by spider (looking for water, no doubt!)
Hope you guys have a restful weekend.

I'm Scottish and therefore officially waterproof, but not quite frost-proof! Interesting to see your photo of a crop duster - we don't have them here, they use traditional sprayers but with massive 36m booms. Glad you got some rain - we've had rain most days of June and it's been misty all day today. The mower will be out at the weekend again, weather allowing...
