Climbing Roses

It rained!!  We had a half an inch in the rain gauge.  It might have rained more than that..as the gauge was not sitting upright.  We really needed some rain!

Chance and I had some quality time walking around the yard yesterday on my day off.  Actually it was only part of a day off as I had to go to town to help get my car in for new tires and I had some things that I HAD to do at the Museum.  So Chance and I volunteered at the museum…he watched while I unpacked books in a vault..he only ran off once to greet people..good thing they liked dogs.

Climbing Roses June 14

The climbing roses are trying to climb.

Chance and the climbing roses

Chance wasn’t far away..I think he was watching for wayward squirrels to herd.

The roses are part of the Canadian Explorer Series ‘William Baffin’:)

I am so glad you got some rain. We are desperate
for for rain here.

I think Chance makes a wonderful greeter. :-)

Nice pink roses. And I can just see Chance taking on the duties of a greeter. You could always have some of our rain, if there was some way to distribute it equally. :-)

Beautiful. I kinda help mine. I tie the cane with tiny strips of old panty hose. Easy on the plant and blends in.

Love your roses. I wasn't much of a rose fan... but I'm becoming one. I love that they bloom all summer, and I love the variety of colors, sizes and types. We planted two roses in the past few weeks. We also had rain last night, not even a tenth of an inch... but we had more hail - luckily, from the sound of it, it was small.

We'll send some of our rain your way. We have too much. some of the crop is now being drowned out.
On the other hand our climbing roses are not yet blooming.

Oh, I'm so glad you finally got some rain! Supposed to be more here the next three days, so I will hope some of that makes it your way. The roses look like they appreciated the drink. ;)

The roses are very pretty. And Chance is good to watch for those sneaky squirrels.
Hope you all have a wonderful, blessed weekend!

Pretty roses and I love the pic with Chance in the background. I hope Far Guy enjoy Father's Day weekend and that you two have a restful break.
John has shingles and is in a lot of pain. I had to get UGLY with ins./dr. to get scripts. It took ALL day but I got them.

You sound like you feel much better. Hooray for that. The roses are pretty. We got decent rainfall last week but this week's forecast is not promising for that.

My William Baffin looks sad again this year. I am going to try to find a new place for some of the sprouts that are growing around it. I need to get something for it to climb on that is in the sun.

I want to get some climbers but haven't so far. I'm busy running around watering everything since it is so dry here. Nitty and Annie have been really diligent about the squirrels this year too. Are they more active than normal..the squirrels that is.
Glad you got the rain!
