This is my Fern Leaf Peony from Iowa.

Fern Peony from Iowa

A few days later..

Fern Peony from Iowa

Such a pretty bloom! It is a bright spot of color next to the grain bin…where it is also sheltered a bit from the wind.

I drug myself to the Doctor yesterday..no pneumonia..only bronchitis..I have medication to take for ten days.

I am feeling old today as my fourth grandchild enters his teenage years..how did he grow up so fast? This is the photo I put on his birthday card.

Funny how the youngens can do that to ya! I have one who'll graduate next year and two more get drivers permits soon and very soon.

Ya sound like me sweetie, I won't go to the Doc unless I think I'm dyin'. Heck, I've even had the Doc call me before. Ya gotta love a tiny town! Heeeehehehe!!!

Hopefully you've got the necessary treatments and will finally shake that nasty bug. Prayin' for ya girl!

Here's sendin' your offical handsome teen a very happy birthday wish.

God bless and have a 'better' day sweetie.

Take care! :o)

What a beautiful card and such a handsome boy!
The years do roll by.... but, you could also think of it as grandkids keep you young with all of their antics and activity!

I hope you are feeling better soon. The peony is beautiful. Our pink ones are blooming, the white ones are past their prime and the red ones have dropped their petals. They're all doubles.

I know that feeling about the grandchildren growing up and away. I'm glad I have pictures and my diaries to remind me of the good times with them. I am happy that seven of the eleven lived close and I saw them often.

Rest and meds - just do it! Happy b/d to Noah. I'm facing the graduation of a grandson next week...registered and ready for college. How is it that the grands grow up so much faster than their parents, our children? Rest!

Gollie.....you are sick! I thought it was just a cold. So glad you went to the doctor. I'm not one to run to the doc or take lots of meds but "as we age" there are some things we need to pay attention too and not getting pneumonia is one! So glad you've got some serious meds now to knock it out. Hope you feel better real soon!
Happy Birthday, Noah. You're not old, Connie, you just started young! LOL!

This should be a good year for the peony to start to develop more stems for next year. It looks really healthy.

I love peonies. Yours is such a brilliant color too. Sorry under "under the weather" as my mother would say. Take care and get well.

Peonies already? Hope the medicine helps you to breathe better, I know how that goes, or doesn't as the case may be... And a Happy Snappy Birthday to Noah!

The thing that scares me about my grandchildren growing up is how much older I get. The good thing is that you have an awesome looking grandson.

Yup! When you don't get well after a time you should check out the doctor's office for new old magazines. Glad you went and got some meds for the bronchitis. Take it easy and soon you'll be blooming like that peony!! :):)
