Progress

I made progress on the list.  I had what seemed like a mountain of papers that needed to be recycled, shredded or burned.  I recycled what I could but there was still half of a mountain. How does so much paper “stuff” pile up anyway?  I shred junk mail as soon as it comes into the house..

Far Guy and Chance took over.

Burning papers

The wind was blowing..Chance hates the wind..the trees move and really scary twigs fall to the ground.  He led Far Guy to the bedroom three times during the day..finally they had a nap.  That must be Chances way of getting Far Guy to rest, either that or Chance wanted to watch TV.

Changing of the flags

I changed the flags, I have always loved this Cardinal..he makes me smile and is perfect for this time of year.

I got Christmas all put away.  Everything fit back into the totes and the trunk.

I kept the red lights up on the grapevine wreath on the other side of the door..Valentines Day is coming up..I took down the Santa and added a Snowman..close enough.

Isn’t it marvelous how making a list will spur a person on!  I have now made another list of all the things I need to purchase that will  make my life easier and keep me organized.

Next I will be working on making some more cards.  I make all my own cards..I have a number of people who get snail mail from me..not everyone is connected..not everyone sees the need for a computer.  Some people just enjoy getting a card now and again too!    I gave up purchasing cards after my favorite Hallmark  store closed.  I think my homemade ones are very special.

Three Lady Slippers Number 1

They and others like them are available at the Etsy shop that I share with Far Guy and our daughter Jen.  It is called Far Side’s Attic and Woodshed.  We need to get some more woodcarvings listed.  It is on my list of things to do:)

Your cards are beautiful.

I read once that an artist used all her slick coated junk mail for paper mache. She was making huge vases and sculptures and they were selling like hot cakes...you could add that to your list and your Etsy shop.

I have one of your cards from when I won the Aldo Leopold book. It's so beautiful. I didn't know you sell them, but it makes perfec sense. I'm heading over to the shop to take a look. :-)

I work better with lists...at work and at home. Only half a mountain of papers now.
Very impressive. We have been in our new house only 1.5 years and already the "stuff" is piling up. Checking out your shop now.

Hooray for you! You were on a roll, I can tell - full steam ahead!
I haven't made cards since we became involved with the project house. My card making stuff is in two large boxes in the basement. The stuff has been shuffled in and out of the boxes as I look for odds and ends. It's a mess! Some day.....
I had an fairly large inventory of cards so I sent out a "New Year's Note" to friends, as I failed to make the Christmas deadline. One of my friends sent me back a note saying how nice it is to get a good, old fashioned, card with a personal note! She's right. It is expedient to use technology, but so much more heart-felt to take the time to write it all out. I'm sure your friends feel the same way... especially getting a note on your beautiful cards!

I have to have lists, I guess its a holdover from when I was working. My tickler file was always waiting for me when I logged on. I too make all my cards. I love to do it, and I think that ones receiving them also enjoy getting something in the mail that isn't a bill. Have a good day.

I create lists during the summer so I get it all done when the weather is warm. Your cards are very professional looking. Good job.

Your cards are gorgeous, and they look beautiful. I had checked out your Etsy shop the other day, and gotten confused when I saw the $ in British lbs. But now I figured out that it's yours, LOL.

I would like to see more of your photography items in your shop, prints, and other items.

Your cards are beautiful. I love your flag. I never thought much of cardinals until I moved to southern Missouri and saw them all the time in our yard. I fell in love with them, what beauties.

Your cards are gorgeous. Over the years I've made a small number of personalized ones for family members' birthdays, but nearly every one is printed a bit off-center. Good for you, opening an Etsy shop. Must check it out ASAP. And I love the cardinal flag.

Ah...your cards are not merely printed but mounted. Very, very nice.

I didn't know you made cards with your gorgeous photos! They're beautiful! I make all my own cards and would be just lost without snail mail.

I'd also be lost without lists. Seems like I'm barely finding my way in the world with them--LOL!

Have a wonderful, productive week, lady!! :)

WOW - - I am impressed at your progress! No wonder Chance needed a nap - - he got wore out just watching you work. Far Guy is still doing well, isn't he? Hooray, too, for getting the Christmas put away. That is a big job at your house.
I bookmarked the Etsy page and will look at it again on a quiet weekend. I buy cards like that from a friend in town and people love them.

Wow! You got a lot done! I got some work done on my never-ending list too. It's always a good feeling. I'll have to check your shop...didn't even know you had one!
I want to make my own cards but that too is on a list somewhere. I used to have so much energy but now I'm like a slug and don't get nearly as much done as I did when I had a job and kids to take care of. What's up with that? Love your cardinal and Winter decorating!

Jake hates the wind too. If it is windy during the night, he comes into our bedroom. He could be in there every night, but now he only wants to be in there when he is scared. Maybe I snore too loudly?:)

I love your cards and was very delighted to get one from you one year. I still have it and enjoy looking at it.

Enjoyed seeing your photo cards, Connie. They are all lovely. Like you, I also make my own cards to send to people and a personalized card is such fun to do. I was wondering if your card sets sell well on etsy.
