Fundraiser Photos

Last evening was the fundraiser for our Great-Niece Aubrey. An evening for the community to come together to support a little girl in her quest for a perfect smile. The donations of items kept pouring in all week, we ended up with 130 items for the silent auction. People working together and coming together can accomplish so much....many very talented people came out of the woods for this fundraiser. The local Lions Club was in charge of serving and preparing the food, my Mother and my Aunt headed up the food preparation....the food was awesome! There were some great cooks/chefs in the kitchen. The dinner was roast pork and beef ( it practically melted in your mouth) , mashed potatoes, gravy, Finnish flat bread, coleslaw (simply out of this world), green beans and carrots (prepared in such a way that their flavors just popped) and every kind of homemade bars that you can imagine. I believe that about 450 people were served dinner. It was a "free will" donation.

After the silent auction was all set up, I managed to get a few photos..before the place filled with people.

What a great turnout for the fundraiser!! And I have to say you have a huge talent pool up there, including quite a few from your own family.

Wow - it looks like a wonderful fundraiser! I'm so glad it was a success. I love the carved bluejay, so pretty. The quilts are nice too, there's a lot of work that went into those items. Mom said the cabinet was gorgeous too. Wonderful job on the fundraiser.

This looks a lot like our little American Legion here in town! I can't believe how many talented relatives you have!! My God! Do you all live in the same town? Looks like males and females alike art artistic in your family. How cool is that? Beautiful things and for a good cause. Your mom's quilt is amazing...I love it.

All those things are amazing! You did an awesome job rounding up all those items from those very talented people. The dinner sounds like it was fabulous. I really hope everything continues to go well for Aubrey, she is a little doll for sure. Small communties are terrific.

That looks like lot's of wonderful stuff! Even a basket from Oregon! The Duchess loved the lavender quilt that your Mother made. You must have a big family that stayed close to home as they grew up. (Except for the brother in Oregon). That must be really nice. I hope the fund-raiser was really sucessful.

Wow. Finnish flat bread. My dad and my husband's father were both Finnish. Are you part Finn?
